To get started with BBB, you'll need to set up a crypto wallet first. There are numerous wallet options accessible on both desktop computers and smartphone devices for your choice.

Setting up a crypto wallet for the first time can feel daunting. So the below tutorial walks you through how to create the most well-known crypto wallet in the web3 space - MetaMask.

Step 1: Download the MetaMask wallet extension

Go to MetaMask website and click on “Download”. Choose your preferred browser and install the MetaMask extension.

Step 2: MetaMask wallet installation

Click on the MetaMask extension and click on “Get Started”.

Step 3: Click on “Create a wallet”

On the next window click on “I agree” if you would like to help improve MetaMask or click on “No Thanks” to proceed.

Step 4: Create a strong password for your wallet

Choose a secure password to sign in to your wallet from your browser. Note that this is not your seed phrase. The password is a security measure to prevent anyone using your device from accessing your wallet.

If you forget your password, you can always access this account and your cryptocurrency with your seed phrase. After you're entered the desired information, click “Create”.

Step 5: Securely store the seed phrase for your wallet

Click on “Click here to reveal secret words” to show the seed phrase that includes a 12-word phrase.

This string of numbers is the final backup of your wallet and its data. If you lose your seed phrase, MetaMask can’t help you recover your wallet and your funds will be lost forever. Keep the phrase in a secure place (preferably offline) and never share it with anyone.

Click the lock to view the words and take note of them in the correct order. Click “Next” to continue.

Step 6: Enter your seed phrase to log in to Metamask

You’ll now have to repeat your seed phrase by selecting the words at the bottom of the screen in the correct order. Click “Confirm” once this is complete. Your MetaMask wallet is now set up and ready to use. Click “All Done” to view your wallet.
